We recently wrote letters to our favorite authors. Today they were mailed. We can't wait to see if we hear back from them!

On Sunday, Miss McQuown went to see Josh and his brother Zach play futsal. They did an amazing job! Josh was so fast!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. day I decided to post this picture.  This is his house in Birmingham, Alabama.  We are learning about his life in class this week.

Today was Alve'ona's birthday. Her mom brought in cake to share for her big day. Happy birthday Alve'ona!

We have been reading "Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type" by Doreen Cronin all week. Today, Isaac brought in his typewriter to share with the class. We really liked seeing how it works!

We are loving listening to audiobooks on our iPods! This week we are listening to books by author Doreen Cronin.

We were lucky enough to have Mr. Greg Kenney come to Cochran and teach us about Rosa Parks. We learned a lot about how she would not give up her seat on a bus.

I would like to thank Miss Perchinski for all of her help while I was out.  She did a great job and I know she will be missed! I am very excited to be back and have been enjoying getting to know all of the wonderful students in our class! It's going to be a great second half of the school year!
