Monday was the first day of Read Across America week. It was wear red day.

How to Blow a Bubble

Today we continued learning about how to write a How To writing. We wrote about how to blow a bubble with a piece of gum. Yes Mr. Michaels gum!! Sometimes it is ok to break the no gum in school rule :)

How To

Today we learned how to do a How To writing. We used the example of how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. After we did the writing together, we each made a sandwich using our directions. Yum!!

Trevon had a very important letter come in the mail today! He heard back from his favorite author Alan St. Jean. Mr. St. Jean also sent him a book!!

Elise, Eva, and Ava all received a letter from their author Robert Munsch. He also sent a very funny story with their names in it and a poster!

Our Gymnast!

Klair recently competed in a gymnastics competition. She won 1st in floor exercise and 3rd in beam. Congrats Klair!

Emma, Klair, Addison, and Malcolm wrote to author Jan Brett. Today they received a letter back from her. She also sent a poster.

Calistra's Letter

Calistra got mail!!! We recently wrote a letter to our favorite author. Today, she received a letter from her favorite author Mike Thaler. He answered all of her questions and gave some words of encouragement!
